Today I hit the road for Cleveland, Ohio for a road trip with my Mom to the USA Triathlon (USAT) Age Group National Championships. On August 11, I’ll be racing the Olympic distance triathlon in attempt to qualify for World Championships. This will be my first Nationals experience. For those of you who don’t know, if you finish in the top 10% of your age group at a USAT-sanctioned triathlon, you qualify to race at Nationals. My performance at the Chicago Triathlon in 2017 landed my invitation. This weekend, I’ll be racing with some of the fastest athletes in the sport. While I am far from the fastest, I have put in some serious work this season to improve my times and have seen the reward thus far. Now it’s time to crush some finish lines.
